Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Mozart was a key composer of the Classical Era. Mozart lived for only thirty-five years, being born in 1756 and dying in 1791. Even so, Mozart was able to write an incredible amount of music, over 600 known compositions, that are continued to be performed in concert stages today. His piano sonatas, concerti, fantasies, and variations are expected to be learned from any serious pianists.

The most recommended editions for the Mozart Piano Sonatas are ranked from top (highest) to bottom (lowest).
Barenreiter Urtext
Many experts agree that this is the current best edition. However, some complaints that come from using this edition include the small print and lack of fingering suggestions.

Piano Sonatas II – Urtext of the New Mozart Edition (Volume 2)
Wiener/Vienna Urtext
This edition derives its sources from 18th century printed editions of Mozart’s scores, since they are arguably more detailed than Mozart’s handwritten scores and show the composer’s intent more clearly. Contains performance practice notes by Mozart Expert Robert D. Levin. Edited by Ulrich Leisinger.

Mozart Piano Sonatas Volume 1 Wiener Urtext Edition
Henle Verlag Urtext
Always a trustworthy edition. Markings such as dynamics and phrasing are used sparingly. Contains excellent fingering suggestions. Offers interesting notes on why certain articulations are used in the editing.

Dover Edition
A very inexpensive edition of Mozart which also includes the fantasies. This edition was reprinted from the Breitkopf & Härtel‘s Complete Works. The Breitkopf and Hartel editions are known for not being very authentic however. Complaints from using this edition include small print, and “non-Mozartean” details such as the use of legato and phrasing.

How about Mozart’s fantasias and rondos?
Is Bärenreiter still the best edition?
Yes. I prefer Barenreiter the most in general for Mozart.
I think you should include this one too, for the Sonatas. Better than the Dover and an excellent alternative to the others:
